A Judge No More

 A Judge No More

Bursting onto the deathmatch scene in recent years, Judge Joe Dred has become a serious player when it comes to the art of ultraviolent professional wrestling. As of this writing he is four months into his Circle 6 Heavyweight Championship reign and appears to enjoying the best year of his roughly five year career. After all he did win the Jobber Radio End of Year Deathmatch Award for Breakout Star of the Year in 2024. Having said that, the Judge has made a major decision that will greatly affect his career going forward. On August 11th Joe and Steven Jury released a video on social media revealing that the Judge has burned his past (quite literally) and will be transforming into a better image, a more true to life image of himself if you will. No longer will he dawn his judicial robe, wear his peruke upon his head, and I would assume this would also be the end of his trademark gavel as well. “Judge Joe” is now officially dropped from his name and he will now only be referred to as DRED. His official quote on social media read:

“We all love to play pretend… until the fire starts.
I carried the box. I struck the match. I watched the past burn.
No more robes. No more props.
Just DRED.
Bow or Bleed”

Dred has plenty of upcoming events planned and he has also made note that he plans on getting in the best shape of his career to help with his recovery time in between fights. His next major event scheduled will be Combat Zone Wrestling’s Tournament of Death 22 on September 6th. Dred made it to the finals last year where he lost to Mickie Knuckles, so he will be looking to leave with that trophy this year. Perhaps this new direction is just the edge he needs. So spread the word people, Judge Joe Dred is no more. You can watch the full announcement video below that Dred posted on his instagram account.
