Ruthless Pro Wrestling Lives!
Late last year Ruthless Pro Wrestling owner Christopher Kohlenberg made the announcement that their next RPW show early in 2026 would be the final show for the company. RPW Omega was then announced for March 28th with a stacked card being headlined by the RPW Heavyweight Championship Match between Champion Eric Dillinger and challenger Rickey Shane Page. Since its debut in 2020, RPW has become a fan favorite company within the deathmatch world. All over social media platforms fans expressed how important RPW was to them and how much they would be missed. In just a handful of years RPW managed to build a strong reputation in the scene providing must see shows and matches, so it’s no surprise fans were dreading this closure. Well much to those fans’ pleasure Rickey Shane Page hopped on the mic after his match with Dillinger stating that he, along with SHLAK & Dred bought RPW and will now be running the company. Watch his announcement below thanks to the video from @wrestlingwithunicorns.
So with that announcement, Ruthless Pro Wrestling are indeed going nowhere. Changes are in order for the company in many ways including multiple title changes that occurred at the event. Dred & Colon won the RPW Tag Team Championships while Rickey Shane Page dethroned Eric Dillinger for the Heavyweight Title. Add in that SHLAK remains the Rust Belt Champion and you can see all of the new owners left with more than just a company to their name. The buzz coming from this event is very strong and could help carry Ruthless Pro Wrestling to the next level. That will remain to be seen though. An official statement has been posted on RPW’s social pages and gives a clear mission statement:

During RSP’s speech he did mention that SHLAK, Dred and himself will not be the only ones running RPW but didn’t drop any names or clues as to who else will be helping out. What he did name was the Ted Petty Invitational which isn’t deathmatch related but is a very big deal and an old IWA Mid South creation dating back to 2000. He said they already worked out a deal with SVN who owned the rights to the tournament, and now RPW will have control of the name. They are planning to host its first tournament in five years at Berwyn Eagles in the future. Stay tuned to RPW because it appears they have a lot to look forward to.
