Pacific North Death Closes

On February 5th Portland based Pacific North Death announced on all of their social media platforms that they are closing down operations effective immediately. PND made their debut in the deathmatch world April of last year. This announcement comes just a week out from their 3rd show ‘Persona Non Grata 2’ which was scheduled for February 13th. For fans who have already purchased tickets for that event PND made it clear that fans will be refunded as soon as possible, here is the full statement they released below.

With only two shows under their belt Pacific North Death started making waves on the west coast bringing in solid crowds right out of the gate. During this short stint multiple shows were forced to be find new venues and reschedule different dates. One of those shows that was rescheduled for a later date was to be PND’s first Deathmatch Tournament where they would crown their first Champion. The ‘Death In The West’ Tournament was a loaded card scheduled for January 17th but was delayed all the way until May 17th. Unfortunately all of that will no longer take place and the beautiful title that was created will never find an owner.

Despite event date issues that doesn’t seem to be related as to why Pacific North Death will be shutting its doors. If you read the statement above, a medical event with owner John is the cause. Jobber Radio would like to send its best wishes to John and his family at this time. For a brief time PND satisfied the bloodlust in the Portland area for the deathmatch community but for now at it appears that need will remain vacant until something else comes along.
